Tuesday for towns in the Loire Valley - Saint Aignan

The medieval town of Saint-Aignan, a listed heritage site, sits on the banks of the river Cher. Its skyline is dominated by its Renaissance chateau and collegiate church.

It is a good place to base yourself if you intend visiting the very popular Zoo Parc de Beauval which sits 5 minutes north of the town

The town has a number of pretty streets around its centre.

It is well worth visiting for the church alone.
