Taken in Touraine - today in Loches.

Outdoor terrace of Au Comptoir in Loches with striped chairs and white umbrellas on a cobbled street

Empty terrace with fresh flowers today at 'Au Comptoir' in Loches, just after the lunch service. Quiet moment in Touraine.

Bon week-end - have a good weekend everyone...enjoy the sun.

As temperatures rise across the Loire Valley this weekend, the shaded streets of Chinon will become even more inviting. Beneath the timber-framed façades and old stone buildings, café terraces offer welcome shelter from the afternoon sun while visitors wander through the quieter lanes of the historic town.

In places like this, Chinon still feels wonderfully unhurried. A table in the shade, a cool drink and the slow pace of life in the old quarter remain some of the simplest pleasures of a sunny weekend in Touraine.

Part of the “Bon weekend from the Loire” Series

Each Friday, we share a quiet moment from the Loire — a region that invites you to unwind, a beautiful weekend at a time.
