Cathédrale Saint-Louis de Blois is not as impressive as some
of the others great cathedrals of the Loire Valley but then it was never
intended to be. Up until 1697 it had been a collegiate church dedicated to
Saint Solenne before its elevation to cathedral status and new dedication to
Saint Louis.
