Tuesday for towns in the Loire Valley - Azay-le-Rideau

As part of Patrimone weekend we chose to revisit the delightful Azay-le-Rideau and we were not disappointed. It was looking good under a beautiful blue September sky. 

We couldn't resist also taking in the town's beautiful chateau.

We took our own advice...

"It's Sunday it's Patrimoine Weekend...why not visit a church" Well actually we visited quite a few, even one with a tree growing out of its wall! Over the next few weekend we will use them in our 'Church on Sunday' feature.We had a busy day but it wasn't all churches...

Every year, on the third weekend of September, heritage sites throughout the Loire Valley open their doors and share their history with you some free to enter, others at a reduced rate.
