Monday's Loire Valley chateau...Chateau de Cheverny and its tulip display

Chateau de Cheverny is closed along with all the attractions of the Loire Valley and amazingly it is only the third time in its history that the chateau has been closed to the public. This year you will not be able to view their wonderful tulip display so here are some images from our previous visits at this time off year.

The owners of the chateau have also kindly made this video  to let us see this years great display.

Looking forward to spring here in the Loire Valley...

The Loire Valley here in France can be delightful at almost anytime of year but spring brings with it its own magic spell with chateaux and public gardens coming to life in a blaze of colour and new growth.

The grand castles of the Loire Valley compete with each other giving their visitors a fresh look at already remarkable gardens.
