Let us look after you on your visit to the Loire Valley in France...

Since moving here in 2008 we have been offering holiday accommodation (vacation rentals/gites) to visitors to the beautiful Loire Valley here in France, we have grown to love our region, especially la Touraine with a passion. A passion which led to the formation of our website, which although not the most professional site out there (we continue to work on improving it ) hopefully conveys the delights this beautiful part of the country has to offer. When you rent a house or cottage from us you also benefit from our knowledge, which we are happy to share.
Where we adhere to the phrase 'self praise is no honour' we cannot help but be flattered when we receive comments in our guestbooks like the ones below.

"Jim and Pauline have been the best hosts - being here to welcome us and offering so many great suggestions about what to do and visit."

"Jim & Pauline, your house is so lovely and the people of the town we have met have been very welcoming. Thank you so much for your wonderful suggestions for things to see - we have had a wonderful time!"

From 'Les Balcons' guestbook

"Dear Pauline & Jim, Tom and I so enjoyed our stay. Your home is beautiful and so comfortable! By far the best bedroom I have had since I arrived (in France) and your suggestions for daily travel were spot on and very welcome."

From the 'Old Walnut Mill' guestbook

Jim and Pauline are great hosts, eager to make the holiday a success and on hand with local and regional information and help in booking restaurants etc. Le Promenade in Le Petit Pressigny was a special choice for dinner one evening without the kids! There is so much to see, enjoy and do in this very attractive area in the summer months and you won’t get it all done on the first visit.

Discovering the delights of Southern Touraine here in Centre-Val de Loire...

Old Walnut Mill Barrou
At time when many people may perhaps be dismissing France as a holiday destination it was good to hear some good news with visitors extending their stays at vacation homes in the village of Barrou in Southern Touraine. A couple from Sydney Australia had booked the 'Old walnut Mill' in the village for 5 days after a visit to Paris with the intention of travelling on to another destination before returning home. After settling in and doing a bit of local sightseeing, including a visit to the market at Loches, they decided to extend their stay at the house and use it as a base to explore further into the Loire Valley.

Another two couples from Liverpool who had booked 'Le Bourg' in the village decided they too liked the area so much that they extended their booking by adding another 5 days. They described the area as a 'little hidden gem'.
