In the heart of Bléré, the market square reveals the town’s architectural layers at a glance. A timber-framed house anchors the left of the view, its older structure meeting the later épicerie beside it, which in turn sits between the even more recent Hôtel Restaurant Le Cheval Blanc.
Each façade tells a part of the story: traditions shifting, the town expanding and the everyday life of the Touraine quietly continuing around buildings that span eras.
“In the Loire, history often sits side by side — one doorway at a time.”
