Like many churches in the region Saint-Thibault in Francueil, just over the river Cher from Chenonceaux, has been modified over many centuries. The first church on the site dates from the 11th century, with only a small section of the nave remaining of the original building.
A small vaulted chapel was added in the 15th century and in the 16th century the choir and apse were added.
The stined glass windows of the church arre credited to glassmakers of Chedigny and Tours.
Where's Joan? - she is here in he traditional form.
