The last time we visited York, many many years ago, entry was limited due to a previous extensive fire so we decided to try again when we stopped off on our way up to Scotland. We went along early morning for a visit, prior to continuing our journey north only to find that the opening time had been moved to 10.00am for the day! So it was another external view only of this magnificent cathedral.
