Chartres,the principle town of department of Eure-et- Loir, is best known for its spectacular Gothic cathedral - Cathedral Notre-Dame, (as in Paris) but has more to offer with the river Eure winding a path through it leaving its mark in the form of many bridges making it a lovely place for walking.
