Sure sign that summer has truly arrived here in the Loire Valley...the sunflowers opening up. These are on the edge of the village of Barrou in Southern Touraine.

From June 25th to 28th, the town of Cheverny is the setting for this jazz festival, with the major concerts take place in the magnificent castle grounds.
