At Chambord the grounds are so vast that itinerary 10 of the 'loireavelo' routes takes a tour around the southern part of the chateau's estate.

Thursday's taken in Touraine - a view of the old mill house in Abilly in Southern Touraine.

 

Wednesday is for windows - Sainte-Chapelle de Champigny sur Veude

Some of our favourite windows are in Sainte-Chapelle at Champigny-sur-Veude near Richelieu, Indre-et-Loire. The chapel is modelled on the Royal Sainte-Chapelle in Paris and dedicated to St.Louis with the stained glass depicting episodes of his life. You can see more here.
