Chateau de Fougeres-sur-Bievre differs from the grand chateaux of the region in that it is made from the hard limestone of Beauce. rather than the softer and whiter tufa limestone.

Loire Valley church on Sunday - St.Martin-de-Lignieres-de-Touraine
The main attraction of this little church is the 13th century frescoes that adorn the choir and asp hailed as one of the finest, almost complete, set of medieval paintings in the region.
