Monday's chateau...Chateau de Gue-Pean

Chateau de Gué-Péan is a charming castle 2 km east of Monthou-sur Cher. Privately owned and offering guided tours of some of the rooms in July and August. Furnished with furniture from the 18th-19th centuries this small castle cannot compete with the nearby Chateau de Chenonceau it terms of tourist appeal but if you are nearby and are looking for a quiet more personal experience, it is worth a visit.
