Vendredi à vélo - and a monster move!

Looking towards 'The Monster of Tours', the statue created by the artist Xavier Veilhan and installed in Place du Grand Marché back in 2004.  
It was removed last Monday to allow pedestrianisation work to be done in the area and to have a little restoration work on The Monster itself - will it return?

Chartres,the principle town of department of Eure-et- Loir, is best known for its spectacular Gothic cathedral - Cathedral Notre-Dame, (as in Paris) but has more to offer with the river Eure winding a path through it leaving its mark in the form of many bridges making it a lovely place for walking.

Monday's chateau in Centre-Val de Loire - Apremont-sur-Allier

Chateau d'Apremont-sur-Allier in the village of the same name in the department of Cher was built in the second half of the 15th century.  It is currently the home of the novelist Elvire de Brissac.
