Tuesday for towns in the Loire Valley - Loches
We have probably written about and taken more photographs of Loches than any other town in the Loire Valley so you will not be surprised to hear that it is in fact our favourite. This medieval citadel town has everything, a colourfully rich history, a unique heritage plus all the amenities of a modern bustling town.
Its public spaces are a joy and can be appreciated all the year round.
The town has something for everyone, history buffs, painters ramblers and its Saturday and Wednesday markets are among the best in the region.
Loches is probably also the most popular destination for guests at our holiday accommodation here in Southern Touraine.

Already looking forward to International Garden Festival 2018 at Chaumont-sur-Loire
Living here in Centre-Val de Loire it is easy for us to enjoy the annual International Garden Festival at Chateau de Chaumont-sur-Loire, one of the Loire Valley's most popular attractions.
The theme changes every year so as to keep the festival fresh although there are permanent gardens like the ones featured here which also delight.
We await this year's theme with anticipation,
