Garlic & basil fair (Foire à l’ail et au basilic) in Tours
Around 40 garlic and basil vendors will be descending on
Tours on Sunday the 26th of July for the annual garlic & basil
fair (Foire à l’ail et au basilic) in Tours. The garlic fair is an event which
is said to date from medieval times and continues to flourish today. The
vendors set up their stalls around ‘Les Halles’ on rue Chateauneuf, rue du Grand Marché and
place de la Victoire. Go along and enjoy the surprising colour and fragrancies…
