The small village of Le Lourox in Southern Touraine has you turning your head as you drive through it due to the presence of a former abbey complex that, although it looks in good condition, has only the 12th century church still in use.
The village has some pretty 17th century houses...
and a 15th century bridge.
It also boast a large etang (lake) which is a popular spot for walkers and fishermen.
