If you are considering visiting France in 2016 then you should make the 'Loire Valley' part of your itinerary...it offers such diversity that you will find that one trip isn't enough.
If Paris is (and it normally is) also an intended destination then getting to the Loire Valley from there
can be relatively easy. If you have hired a car in Paris (we don't recommend driving in the city) you are only 2 1/2 hours from the city of Tours, If you want to travel down by train then using the French fast train,the TGV is comfortable and if you book early enough (3 months in advance) it can be very competitive.
